ABOUT THE GROUP:

Friendships don't come with an instruction manual.

For some kids, working with others feels easy and fun. For others, it can feel confusing, overwhelming, or frustrating. They may struggle when plans change, have difficulty joining a group, become stuck when someone has a different idea, or find it hard to communicate what they're thinking.

Builders Club is a small therapeutic group based that helps children strengthen these skills through something they naturally enjoy: building.

Using collaborative LEGO® challenges and other hands-on building activities, participants practice communication, flexible thinking, teamwork, problem solving, emotional regulation, apology/repair, and confidence in a fun, supportive environment.

Rather than sitting in a circle talking about social skills, kids learn them by experiencing them!

This group is informed by the extensive research on LEGO®-based therapeutic interventions, including Dr. Daniel LeGoff's pioneering work in LEGO®-Based Therapy, as well as research on adapting the LEGO® Serious Play® methodology for children and adolescents.
