Hi, I’m Ashley!

Most days, I’m probably drinking coffee that’s gone cold, listening to a podcast while texting a friend while cooking dinner, or reminding my kids to put their bike helmets on again.

I’m a therapist, former elementary school teacher, former student-athlete, mom, deep feeler, and someone who understands how exhausting it can be to constantly carry pressure, overthink, perform, anticipate, and hold everything together.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years teaching elementary school in CMS — second, third, and fourth grade. Those years deeply shaped the way I understand children, emotional regulation, connection, and the many ways anxiety can show up in kids long before they have words for it. I also spent nearly a decade working in non-profit settings focused on communication, storytelling, relationship-building, and community engagement.

At Clemson, I was a student-athlete. My competitive swimming journey began in our neighborhood pool at age six and culminated with my final race at ACC Championships senior year of college. My journey as an athlete shaped me and gave me firsthand insight into the pressure, discipline, intensity, and emotional complexity that often comes with competitive sports — lived experiences that inform the way I work with athletes today.

Motherhood changed me. It’s the best and hardest thing I’ve ever done — beautiful, exhausting, grounding, overwhelming, and deeply humbling all at once. It’s deepened the way I understand emotional labor, identity shifts, pressure, guilt, and the invisible mental load so many people quietly carry every day.

If I could use only one word to describe myself, it would be curious. I think most people who know me well would agree!

If any part of this resonates with you, I’d be honored to explore working with you!
